Opinions and Perspectives

After my initial thoughts of writing something and having written something about ‘writing’, then came other day where my fingers were on ASDF JKL; eager to flow-in the thoughts running in my mind into the brain of laptop, but this damn thought process in me was still in pursuit of ideas going at tortoise phase leaving the fingers jobless, which were just bracing over keys without hitting anything, then I started leaning back on the chair till the head rested back, next reflex which followed was my eyes were closing, hands were moving away from keyboard and eight of the ten fingers were gently caressing the sides of forehead, with outer edge of thumbs resting on cheeks just in from of ears, probably they were hoping that would accelerate the condition, Looks like they were right, something just stroke and disappeared that left eyes wide open, some sensible meme which made me read it multiple times gradually faded in and out till it stood still, although the source of it was vaguely visible, the content was crystal clear, It was about Opinions and Perspectives, let me share my views( sorry!! Opinion J ) about it today... Finally fingers got some job J
All these years having come across many shades which are part of our life including likes, dislikes, laughter, tears, love, arguments, surprises, disappointments, compromises, madness, etc, and few unanswered queries covering - Why me? Why not this way? Why did I fight with him? What made her move away from me? And few times we wish the time to start flying backwards and get an opportunity to rectify few things – a wish that might never be granted, and the list continues which will be way different for each of us, only thing that is constant with all of us is the variable – opinion which varies daily and is usually governed by the perspective we get to see everyday.

Well, here is the meme which gave me a topic to crib today:
Which side of the mug has the handle?

Batman: It’s on the left bro!!
Superman: It’s on the right buddy.
Batman: No!! I can see it clearly Superman, It’s on the left
Superman: What are you talking dude, do you think am lying?
...
 ...

This was one fascinating piece of explanation I came across in recent times, which accurately depicted how strangely our opinions can differ based on our perspectives, So Who’s right and who’s wrong in above conversation? Batman or Superman? Just by looking at the picture, we tend to take the batman’s side and think this superman is no more super, But the fact is, If they are sitting on opposite sides of a table facing each other, none of them may be wrong, Superman would continuously argue with Batman unless he comes over the other side and takes a look at the mug and says “Oh yeah!! Sorry bro, I didn’t look at the mug from your angle”, the same with us too?

Just as an example, for some, Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest cricketer of all time because of his master class strokes, for some Virat Kohli because of his consistency at young age, for some its Dhoni because of different reason, and for some it’s not a valid comparison to begin with, for some cricket isn’t a sports at all, and for some “who is Sachin Tendulkar?” and some makes an issue for not knowing Sachin, and some argue what is wrong in not knowing him. So this circle of opinions about little master can grow endlessly, Is anyone wrong here? again its upto individuals, I believe each one of them formed their own opinion about the topic by the perspective they got to see or hear, The point I am trying to make here is, we would have walked hundreds, possibly thousands of miles in life, with friends and family, seen each thing, each incident from the vision it allowed us to see it, understood it the way we learn it, saved memories as we saw them, formed opinion about someone or something based on what others told, as we may think other peson had right perspective, there is nothing wrong about it, we are slaves of our own master and we just listen to our master, we generate opinions based on our perspective,
Did we not encounter the similar situation in our life as the mug drama between Batman and Superman? How often we fight with our dear ones with a strong belief that we are right? happens quiet easily?, Every time we miss the simplest step to put ourselves into other person’s shoes and have a look at it even though other person may be wrong or right, we never know what hardships others have faced, what battles others are fighting, and what perspectives they got to form their opinion. Though our master doesn’t allow us to do so, we will have to try to come out, if at all we don’t want to have the unanswered queries. Oh Yeah, Me? I am still a beginner, who just started to understand the world; I will put my best efforts to broaden my perspective J

There is a good kannada movie named Ulidavaru Kandante directed by Rakshit Shetty, which revolves around an incident in which each character narrates the story in their own perspectives. good to watch.
